So with the talk of 'stamp' pens, I was thinking, why not resize a bunch of the dog photos' I have and see what happens. Well, this was a learning experience for sure.
Yes, it is proud, but some other lessons I learned
It don't take much to sand through a few layers of thin CA finish and mod podge
I believe next time I will print out the photos on heavier paper. This one was standard 20lb paper.
After removing the 1st round of thin CA, and most of the mod podge, I started over. Covered it in a couple of coats of mod podge
Then using the Eliminator 805 and THICK CA got a good (well, fair) finish on it.
Johnnycnc's Eliminator805 Rev_II is awesome. It really helped with the CA Finish (the 2nd time). Just held the mandrel drizzled the CA on, and rubbed it with a paper towel. I didn't put it on the Lathe other than to micro mesh it after 4 coats of thick.
