This is an experiment to see how well a wood object cast in resin stands the test of time. The boat is made of strips of veneer and thin CA. The blank is fiberglass resin colored with blue testors model paint. Somebody forgot that if you use resin with an amber tone and mix in blue paint you get green not blue. :redface: Painting the tubes blue didn't help much either. Please tell me what you think.

It looks good. If you hadn't said anything, I would have assumed the water was supposed to be that color.

Is the wood covered by resin or finished after being exposed?

I used thin CA and basically brushed it on the boat so the resin wouldn't soak into it. Then I did a CA finish over the top section. Wasn't sure I needed to, I did it just to be safe.
