It was promised that the wine cork series was done and over. Now we work on Pine Cones. This one is sugar pine.

Oh, and these were done the old fashioned way, not stabilized.

Those sugar cones must be huge....Is that just the 'stem' from the inside of the sugar photo'd on the bottom?

And do I see some PR mixed into the top one!

Both photos are of the same pine cone. The lighter side is more of the center where it is soft. The dark side is where the quills attach. There is turquoise and red coral put into the gaps where the quills flew out.
