In case anyone is wondering....the Eastern Red Cedar is more then outstanding!



Turned this one yesterday, took it to work and sold it before I got clocked in!

Think my bushings are ready to be replaced though....guess 40 pens with the same set is a few too many? They hit the trash so they don't cause me to underturn anything again{CB}(I had new ones, but I failed to use them until too late).

Nice wood and kit color combo Scott! In regards to the bushing issue, try using calipers, you will find that your transition between the blank and the components will be almost flawless.

Normally double check with the calipers, but something happened.....maybe the heat in the shop, or whatever caused me to overlook that part in the process. At least the only area that was affected was the centerband area. I think the nib and clip are okay....
