Hi,

Just acquired a nice plank of English Elm burr, had a section that was split from the main plank. So i split it of and decide to chop a few 3/4" strips. Got enough strips for around 6 double piece pens, and these are the first two. Seems like it was a great idea to split the offending scetion from the plank!! If only I could find another 100 blanks!

Cheers. PHIL

Nice looking wood and pens Phil. That's one of the reasons I like wood. You never know what you are going to end up with until you are finished. In this case it turned out great.

Hi Phil,

Great job on the timber, the choice of lovely blending Gold Kit, fit, pics everything such beauty in the Elm reminds me of the veneer and solids used in priceless cars now in priceless pens.

Touch of class with the dimpled background, having trouble seeing now the fog of envy covered my vision, gone now. Real honest to goodness special timber.

A real pleasure to view, enjoy the journey.

Kind regards Peter.

Both have their own unique qualities, it'd be hard to pick a 'fav'....

Great choice in the kit to show them off also!!!
