I was pretty proud of how this pen came out. I got the piece of wood as a cut-off after the person made full blanks out of it. It was tricky to cut the piece so that it was even long enough to fit a sierra tube inside, especially since I like lots of excess length on the ends. It was a real challenge to my comfort level! It also had a lot of voids in it, which I filled with gold embossing powder made into kind of a putty with CA. I can't remember for sure, but I think I finished this pen with lacquer.

Nice looking design especially with the use of powder infill. Unusual shape towards the middle but it looks that it would be comfortable to hold.

Angela,,,your work is always top notch, but I think this one really shines!
You know opinions are always subjective and what one person likes another hates...
I would keep this one as your personal pen. You have every reason to be happy with outcome, but also proud of your work!

I had to read this comment a couple of times- at first I kept reading it as "this one really stinks!". So I was waiting to see an offer to take it off my hands, but didn't see that and was starting to get offended! [:)] I literally had to re-read it about 4 times before I finally realized what it said. Hhhmmm... some people would try to say that that was something like a Freudian read maybe? [:D][:D]

Yeah, I probably should make one porn pen for every certain number of non-porn ones I make- just to keep my skills up! I actually have one blank that I did before Blaze that I used the wrong bushings on, so I have a non-pen that looks like her. I'm still trying to figure out if there's any way to salvage it into a pen. [:)]

No, I just mixed it with some thick CA on a little pen kit baggie and madde it into kind of a paste- then used a toothpick to spread it out and mash it into the holes. I'd tried before to sprinkle the powder in the holes and then put CA over it, but ended up wasting a lot of the powder.

The other day, while at Bath & Body Works, I picked up a few little plastic spoon type things that are for applying samples of make-up, but I saw them and thought they'd actually make a great little spreader for something like this- they're about 2-3" long and have kind of a little shovel type head on them. Haven't tried them yet, since right now my shop is packed up, but I'm going to try them the next time I do something like this, and then I may have to make another visit back to B&BW. [:D]
