Toasted elk antler on a platinum Americana fountain. I found the antler while fire-fighting in Idaho in 2000 and finally made something with it today.

A very Grand FP Kyle, Really nice job. Toasted Elk, that's a new one on me. I hope the owner was able to fair better than his hat. I wonder if I throw some on the fire, I could obtain the same results? Very classy FP.

Thanks for all the nice comments (and lyrics).

To answer Doug's question, the main thing that going through the fire did was to make the outside of the antler useless--it is very crumbly (and downright burnt in places). The interior doesn't seem to have been affected much. Perhaps a smidgen darker than it would have been otherwise. Another guy found the companion antler nearby, unburned. They were shedders. I didn't get the unburned one--or the elk.
