El Grande with Inlay

This is an sterling silver El Grande pen made from Buffalo Horn with Mammoth Ivory shark inlays. It was a custom request from a pen collector. The Horn has more streaking than I prefer, but I guess it goes with the ivory to some extent. The customer liked it, so it works for me.

Thanks for the compliments. Scott was after me to write an article about inlays back when this board was first started. I actually started the article but wasn't happy with the pictures. I have some more inlaid pens to make before the new year. I'll see if I can get some good pics and document the process.

Jim, I love your inlay work, just wonderfull. If you ever want to trade buffalo horn blanks, give me a shout, I like allot of streaking, the ones I get ussuallly have none. Anthony
