This is an sterling silver El Grande pen made from Buffalo Horn with Mammoth Ivory shark inlays. It was a custom request from a pen collector. The Horn has more streaking than I prefer, but I guess it goes with the ivory to some extent. The customer liked it, so it works for me. :)

Thanks for the compliments. Scott was after me to write an article about inlays back when this board was first started. I actually started the article but wasn't happy with the pictures. I have some more inlaid pens to make before the new year. I'll see if I can get some good pics and document the process.

Jim, if I had a customer that didn't like that sucker, I think I'd have to beat him to death with it. [:D] That pen is beautiful and very unique. Thanks for sharing!

Jim, I love your inlay work, just wonderfull. If you ever want to trade buffalo horn blanks, give me a shout, I like allot of streaking, the ones I get ussuallly have none. Anthony
