Finished this last night. The ebony chunked out a little but the slurry of dust is invisible in the black wood.
Kind of wanted to do all ebony, but only had really thin pieces so I used the most I could. Was hoping the manzanita would be a little more red, but was too lazy to cut open new logs looking for darker stuff, so I used what was sitting on my scroll saw.
I like how it turned out. When i used my rubbing compounds i used mainly a low speed . You can definitely feel more and know when you are ready for the next finer compound. I dont know that I've ever made a pen that turned out so glossy.
