This blank sure was brittle, but man, it sparkles! :)

It was a tough turn, however....but now I've proved to myself that I can turn it (kinda) ...so now I don't want to have to do it again - ever! :)

It is a resin rod that I purchase from Europe and it is brittle. As I told "Maxwell":

"Maxwell, my lad, you will need to approach this very carefully. Sharpen your tools and your wits, before beginning. Then, take off the ends gently rolling your skew over the edges. When you have succeeded, you will be a better turner-prepared to advance!!!"

I forgot Andrew is a teacher!!! Now that he has a BASE of KNOWLEDGE - he's done. We need to bring out the "bricklayer" in him----- Build Andrew, Build!!!
