I decided I wanted to do an ebony pen. The threaded sections are alumilite. I finished it with lacquer and steel wool. I made a ebony pillow for it so it would t roll away. I placed a bock nib in medium on it and inked it with Tanzanite Private Reserve ink to see how well it wrote. Comments and critiques are welcome and thanks for looking.

Love the meat and potato look,very 1800's,If I were looking for a high end vintage pen this would certainly catch my eye,I love the no bling quality look that is undoubtably hand crafted.
Just my opinion, but I like the whole look of this pen. non-kit wood pens have a look and feel all their own,very nice.

Awesome to see a piece of wood get treated this well! It looks like wood, and probably feels like wood....so it is awesome like wood!
