I've been working on this pen since last year, as it split on me, when I assembled it (cheap chinese kit). I didn't do a great job of cleaning up the glue, from the fix, but I just couldn't wait to get this pen off of my books. It's for a person I go to church with. She ordered it, then got laid off, so I put it on the back burner. It was a commissioned work. It's' from one of my red-stabilized curly maple blanks.

I guess this is about my 42nd pen. Thanks for looking. I finally have a purple test blank on its way to me, so we'll see if purple maple blanks are in my future (curly, burl and spalted).

Thank you. It took me long enough. I tried 3 different finishes on it, but kept messing up on them. I absolutely hate finishing and always have. I put my hand down in a puddle of CA, doing the repair on this one and got a drop on the barrel (you can see it in the pic). I didn't see the drip, until I had reassembled it. Oh well, it still looks good to me.
