The blank is a blue dyed and stabilized maple burl. The kit is a black titanium emperor. I did not take picks of the pen uncapped because there is no nib. Hopefully, I will receive my order from CSUSA tomorrow. The finish is CA, MM to 12,000, and plastic polish.

That rocks! I don't think I would have expected a blank with that much figure to work with an Emperor, but the blank and components really complement each other well.

Thanks for the kind words all. I was a little concerned that the blank would be too busy for the kit, but that is what was ordered. I am very happy with the final product though, as was the buyer (The kit came in today, so I was able to put the nib on). The black titanium was the right choice. The gold would have been too much.

A nice match with kit and blank, great shine on that one. Almost makes me wish I wasn't retired so I could work some overtime and get a few of those higher end kits.
