After having kids I lost my man cave, where I had all the autographs and concert souvenirs. I have a few drum sticks I've caught in the crowd that have just been sitting in a corner. We're not talking the Beatles, before the "how could you?" Conversation hits. But I wanted to keep the banged up look as much as possible.

I like how you did that. I did a Le Roi for my son with one of his Vic Firth sticks as a back to college gift--turned out okay, but your closed end twist makes more sense to me.
