I guess since it seems the identy of the youth pen turners is not going to be a secret, I will show something here.

Angelina back painted both of these the other day, using one blank to make 2 Le Roi. She painted one black, and the other hot pink. Quiet a difference.

I think the one painted black looks a lot more dramatic and interesting. I notice that's the one she entered in the contest. I'm surprised that was her favorite though.

I agree with parklandturner, and your daughter. The one reverse painted blank is a real winner. If you have another one of those blanks, try reverse painting Navy Blue.

I was looking at the pink back painted on lastnight, and realize it was almost a waste of a blank...... Should have done another dark color.

Oh, I wouldn't say it was a waste of the blank. It is just part of the learning curve. I had no idea that picking the right color when reverse painting was so critical to the sucess of the outcome. I think we all learned a bit on this one.
