Double Closed End Baron

This is my first attempt at a double closed end Baron. Zebrawood was from the same piece, but, top and bottom barrels don't match too well. I learned a lot from doing this one and can't wait to get started on my second. Also, it is my first attempt at an Enduro finish.

Steve, I think it looks great, however the bottom is darker than the top.

Whether it matches or not, it's a great idea for a desk pen. You just did two things I want to try, but have not had the uh... guts to try. I just got some enduro and a closed end mandrel for the Baron. By the way, your package will be leaving tomorrow.

Do you have any idea why they don't match? I wouldn't have guessed they were even the same species much less the same piece of wood!
