Must be the lack of coffee, but don't the segments look raised to anyone else? Very cool!! Nice contrast between the two timbers and no 'bleed' from sanding.

Looks like the (raised?) top of the horizontal band is catching a highlight, but really can't be sure.
Lovely choice of woods!

thanks al.. the horizontal legs have a 'coke can insert' over the purpleheart and the photo was at a fairly high angle ,, making it looked raised.
