Digging deeper

So I dug myself into a hole with my wife by spending too much money at the MAPG. I dug even deeper by saying "At least Charlie's wife supported him by helping him get a $100 gift certificate." My grand plan for getting out of the dog house was to spend even more money. Bought some Chiyogami paper blanks and wall street II kits.

Woke up early (sleeping on the sofa is rough) and decided to implement my plan by turning 3 pens with the thought that I would give my wife first pick of her mother's day present and promise to give the other two to her mother and my mother for mother's day. Used some tips from the MAPG to improve my fit and finish.

Hope it goes well she will like it. Also now she has one to give to her mom(go with me on this) . they look great I like the one to the right.

Those are truly excellent pens! You did a wonderful job turning , fitting and finishing on these knock out blanks!
Your wife and moms will be tickled to have such a nice pen which you turned!

Do you want to share with her that Robin also won a box of Brooks blanks!.....(for me, the turner!)?..maybe not at this point!

Well my plan worked, my wife picked the pheasant feather pen. Got to sleep in my own bed last night. Love it when a plan comes together.
