Did NOT expect this inside this home-cast

I think I did the casting on this resin over a year ago while trying to adjust to the particulars of my most frequent customers. Had company over and felt like showing off so I reverse painted a dark blue and let the paint dry. I was EXPECTING a lot of purples and blues and a lot of shimmer, which would have been useful to impress said company. I was surprised to see so little color change when I got past the halfway mark, but the smoky cloudy effect is definitely a winner. Not mad at it, just a pleasant surprise. Haven't turned much in the last few months up until this last Friday.

It's beautiful. Like the sparkly and glazed effect on the blank. Great fit and finish as well. Great turning!
