Yes, I do turn a pen now and then.

Last week, I was at the shop of td smart working on a club project and afterwards, he says "Let's turn something"!

Tom supplies me with a piece of Desert Ironwood and a Sirocco pen kit (finial twist) from Signature Pen Supply.

Here is the result. The pen is finished with some Aussie Oil he had on hand.

The Desert Ironwood sure makes for a very nice pen!

Thanks Tom!!!

That looks very elegant.
One of my first attempts at a pen was with desert iron wood. My finish didn't stick. Someday I will disassemble it and try again.

Nice Charlie!
How'd the meeting go with Stuart Batty?
I'm really sad to have missed the day. (I even had a new vinyl background to try!)

Thanks!
Meeting went great! Stuart always puts on a good show. He will be at CAT this Thursday evening. Come on out! Leesburg-4:45 dinner/6:30 meeting.
