Very Nice, Tim, Looks good. I'm setting up a light tent and wanted to know what your lighting is for this one. I like the background, also. Is that a fabric?

The background is actually a fabric placemat. I turned it around and used the back. The lighting I used is a halagen worklight sat in front of the pen. I tried to aim the light so that I got the least amount of shadows.

Unknown wood

This is a blank that I pulled from the $1 bin at PSI. It certainly didn't look like this in the blank state. You can't tell from the photos but the wood color is purple. I thought that it was Purpleheart, but the wood didn't turn darker while I was turning like other Purpleheart has. Does anyone know what species of wood this is? Pen kit is a chrome designer. All comments welcomed, thanks for looking.
