Hello all,

Here is another offering of some DI Burl on a Rhodium w/ Titanium Gold accented Roman Harvest. I tried to capture as much of the wood character as I could but it is difficult with my limited picture taking skills:befuddled:

Comments welcome. Thanks,
Robert

I put 2 coats thin, 15 medium and then 2 more thin. Wet sanded to 12000 and then plastic polish. The wood already had quite a bit of depth so the CA just added to it.

WOW! That is gorgeous, but Robert, it hurts me to see it. This morning after getting the cap done, I shattered three pieces of DI burl trying to do the lower barrel.

How did you make out with yours? Obviously very well, but did it give you any trouble? What precautions did you take with this difficult wood?
