Here is a pen made from Reed's DIW. It took three tries to get this one. The first blank blew out during drilling. The top for the second pen got trimmed a little too short, so the hardware would not fit. This third one turned out beautiful. I sold it to a friend for a christmas present. It is a Platinum Cigar from WC with a CA Finish.

Thanks,

Mike

Man, I never thought of selling gifts to my friends -- I usually give 'em to them. [}:)]

Sorry, couldn't resist misreading that.

Good looking pen. Reed's DIW is nice stuff. I'm very happy I ordered some too.

You know if you trim the top a little to short you can always take a little off the inside mech. to make it fit. No one but yourself will ever know.

Thanks for the kind words.

I have not given up on pen number 2 which was trimmed a little short. I have trimmed the hardware that fits into the cap, but no luck getting it to fit yet.

I actually have given most of my pens away to family and friends. Then they usually buy them from me as gifts for others. I did cut this friend a break on the price of the pen though.

I realy do like the colors and iridescence that this wood has with a CA finish.

Thanks again,

Mike
