Here is my fourth deer antler slimline this Christmas season. They are very popular. I ran out of material which is too bad because I had several other people ask about them.

This pen uses the gun metal, which seems appropriate for the material. I did a lot of reading about tricks in preparing, turning, and finishing antler.

I used a CA finish after sanding to 400, then 12000MM.

Thanks for looking.

I like the fit and finish but the shine is not their did ya use 1 or 2 coats of ca? Or did ya go with blo to give a bull shine? Either way I like it with slight curvyness to it not the "A" typical slimline.

Very nice pen. I've done 1 antler pen as pay back for my boss giving some antler. I notice that when I was done, it didn't need a finish as it was polished, even though I put some shellawax on it.

Nice job on that one. I also have the problem of running out of antler. Seems like I can't keep enough of those done to satisfy the demand for them. I really like the curve that tends to break up the classic slimline.
