I got this acrylic custom made by Ed4copies' better half. I learned that the next pen I will use Black-it or paint to darken the tube as it gets a bit transparent in the thinner areas. I would darken the tube as this is intended to be as close to Penn State colors as I can get. The kit is Berea's Satin Pearl.

Comments welcome.

Nice job. I like the sateen finish. Matches the kit nicely.
I have found, through the suggestions of others, that painting the inside of the drilled blank has the greatest chance of success. If you are creative, and the blank is transparent enough, you can have some fun with paint colors inside the tube hole.

From the great "show-land" in Chicago, Nice job, Cav.

Thanks for the comments. This is a great acrylic to work with.

I do have to apologize to Ed and Dawn for the brevity of my post. It was late at night (for me) and I forgot to mention how beautiful the color of the acrylic is. I wish that my limited photography skills could show the depth of the colors. I had mentioned the transparency just because my customer wanted a dark as possible blue. Without the rest of the post I had intended, it sounded like I didn't like the color, and that could not be farther from the truth.

Thanks, Ed, and my apologies to Dawn.

No apologies needed, but I AM happy for the clarification. Both of us were up all night worrying about your pen, now, I guess we can go to bed (course show starts in an hour, so it could be a costly sleep!!!)

Seriously, Cav, let us know if you want them re-done - we aim to please!!!
And, we did sleep last night (in fact, sleeping booty is still in bed!!)
