Well went to sell it and noticed it had cracked[}:)], I would say it was 5-6 weeks after turn and finish as I showed it a few weeks after I turned it and it was fine. I sure like Snakewood but get tired of taking apart to refinish after cracking. BTW it came from Darrick good news is is the other one didnt crack.

everything I have ever read on snakewood said don't fight the cracks. Basically, no matter what you do it will crack so accept that and plan accordingly. The best method in my book is turn it and don't finish it or assemble it...let it sit for a while until it cracks and then fix the cracks/finish/assemble. You mihg twant to go with 2 rounds of sitting/filling cracks before final finish just to be safe.
