Made a set similar to this one for LOML about three years ago. Every time the DIL is here she gazes at the pen set sitting on the computer desk. Made the DIL this one for XMAS this year, please don't tell.

Yes, it is based on the Panache. I drilled out the blank then made and attached the end caps. From that point I used techniques for making a closed end pen.

The material is an eBay special. I know what it was sold to me as but I am not sure I can identify the material I received. I believe it to be a generic version of a brand name product but can not be positive.

I guess you need to be a yellow person to like it [:)] But I like the design and use of the panache to make new & different looking pens, without them dictating how the center band should be. A Very clean looking pen. Good job JOhn
