Cut it twice and it's still too short

This was supposed to be a peridot boxelder burl cigar but I left just a little bit too much extra when I cut the longsection from the blank. I had some antler that had suffered from the same uneducated ruler so this is what I came up with. The first is a chrome cigar and the secong is an upgrade gold sierra. Both are finished with ca.
I tried the white backgroung not sure that it helped much.
