Custom Meowww...

Finished it this A.M. This is a Jeff Powell blank incorporated into a custom pen. My wife, Karen, asked if Dawn at Exotics could see if Jeff could make a "kitty" blank. So I got the blank..and have been putting off making a pen out of it...just because:redface:. However every time I would tell my wife I was going to the shop to make a pen...I would hear a "meoww" from her. Well..lately the meowws got louder and since I didn't want to get scratched or bitten..so..I came up with this. She really liked when I gave it to her this morning. It has a #6 medium point gilded Bock nib. She didn't want a clip. I made the finial removable anyway in the event she changes her mind. I enjoyed making it. Thanks Dawn and Jeff ! Certainly looks like it was painted, Jeff is an amazing scroller and you did the blank more than proud . Now we all can see another way to use some of the painted, and scrolled blanks in custom work...

Warren, I got Jeff's blank from Dawn at Exotics and I believe they now carry this cat blank. My wife is a cat lover. She didn't wait...LOL...I finished photographing the pen...and it was gone. Regards, Doc
