Here's #2! The section is a snap fit to the body, and holds on nicely. The cap was going to be a snap fit, but I messed up. I think I know how to fix it for next pen. So it's a nice tight friction fit but its still airtight. The tenon that was part of the snap fitting actually worked out a lot better than I thought, it keeps the cap from pulling the section off (a big problem in the last one) and lets the cap and pen body line up. The clip came from an old Mesa pen that I modified. The acrylic looks amazing without any tubes, and has real depth to it. This is my new carry pen, so I'll be able to see how the fittings hold up. Thanks for looking and C&C is always helpful!

I love it - may I ask how you designed/made a snap cap?

The snap cap is still being delveloped, and I'll proably tweak it over time. But I make a small groove inside the cap, and a small protrusion on the pen. In theory, this will make a nice snap fit. I'm working on #3 now, and I think I'll get it right this time.
