I've been making my own Abalone pen blanks for a few months now and I came across rod decals on the same website. My family and I are avid saltwater fishermen (and fisherwomen) so I decided to snag a few of these rod decals and see how they do cast in PR. I bought some Nickel plated Sierra tubes from Exotic blanks as I thought it would look better versus a standard brass tube and then paired it with a silver Mesa kit from Woodturnigz.com. I could not be happier with the results and my mind is already turning with other ideas for some Jr. Gent sets as well as wrapping the ends of the tubes with leader wire! Comments and criticisms welcome!

I think painting the tube first would make the fish stand out better, overall well done.
