Custom Fountain & New DiamondCast Blank

This is one of my latest ones in a new blank from Tim McKenzie (@mckenziepenworks). This blue is fabulous – add the sparkle that comes with Tim's DiamondCast blanks and the daylight takes over. Bock #5 nib, a custom nickel clip and three-tiered cap finial make this a simple deco-style pen that really shows off the blank.

Sorry - I should have posted this photo too. It's just a turning detail that I seldom use. The finial has a threaded tenon that passed through the clip and into the cap. The "stepped" finial is just a design detail common in deco items of all sorts. Nothing more than a whim while the lathe was still on.
