Custom Fountain - DiamondCast

A new six-color brown DiamondCast blank made it into my last package from Tim McKenzie. As usual, the amazing sparkle is almost completely lost in my photos, but holding it in bright natural light takes one's breath away This fountain pen features a gold #5 Bock nib and gold pocket clip (from Beaufort) and very dark brown Alumilite section and accents. (Tim cast that for me too - I think he just feels sorry me.)

I would like to note that he even wrapped my blanks this time (as he does everyone else's) and - better yet, he used classy black tissue instead of pink like last time. (Thanks, Tim.)

Very nice. The blank gives the impression of a wood grain in the photo. Is it the same in real life?

Yes, it does have that same flavor...except it sparkles!

That's about a nice of "test piece" as anyone could hope for right there. Beautifully turned pen Greg!

I promise, I'll get this one added to the regular lineup soon...

Like the pen very much also !! . Only think is, I'd prefer both ends to be "squarish".

That's usually my preference too, Mal. In this case, the nib extends up into the end finial. When left "squared," it made for a pretty bulky looking cap. (Said differently, I made a mistake and was covering my tracks!)
