custom 30/06 Bolt action rollerball pen

I have a Friend who likes the Bolt action pens. He Wanted one using a real 30/06 case, and he wanted it to be a rollerball.

So I stuck a top to a bolt action pen on this fn-53 30/06 case.

Those military casing are the way to go. Thicker in the 'web' area = strong threading for you!!

The refill pictured doesn't appear to be a roller ball. Is that the one you are using?

Here is it put together.

One thing that I don't like is that the colors really don't match perfectly.

I need to put the botton piece back in the old brass tumbler.
