My brother-in-law takes a lot of excursions and each time he asks for a special pen to take with him. The last pen went with him to Mt. Everest base camp! This time he settled on an antique brass Tec-7 pen and Curly Koa. I could see the rays start popping after I hit the wood with a coat of BLO while spinning on the lathe! finished up with 10 coats of thin CA and MM through 12,000. Little bit of Plast-X polish to shine her up! Off she goes to Patagonia!

Nice pen. I have some slabs of Curly Koa around here somewhere my wife brought back with her from her vacation to Hawaii a few years ago.
