Here is a pen and pencil set I made from an ash tree I had cut down a couple years ago. The kits are Stratus kits from PSI. I added an aluminum inlay to easily identify the pen from the pencil. I am really happy with how well the grain lined back up after the inlay. Finish is CA polished to a satin finish (I prefer this over high gloss).

Thanks for looking,
Jake

Very nice! What are your thoughts on the Stratus kit? I was thinking about adding some of these to my next PSI order.

Sam,
Thanks! I like the Stratus kits a lot. I made this set specifically for myself because I've sold every other one I have made. The 2mm lead in the pencil is different at first but I prefer that now.

Absolutely gorgeous! Great job lining up the grain. I too have turned a few Stratus pens, and really like them. They have the "quiet" clicker, which is smoother than some others.
