Crushed velvet

This crushed velvet blank was generously given to me by Anthony (Penworks) some time back and I finally put it to good use (I hope). Just a plain satin Euro with a custom made walnut 'rainbow' cast CB. Fun to make and I hope you take a minute to post a comment or two.

There was only one company in the world, in Great Britain, that made crushed velvet. They went out of business over 5 years ago. A number of "substitutes" have been made by various manufacturers - they are NOT the same. No one, to date, has been able to make anything --- even the samples I got, asking for the "same as crushed velvet" were NOT.

So, right now, no luck. This, like all other things, COULD change. IF it does, I will let you know.

Great looking pen. Big fan of the crushed velvet, I love that stuff. I wished that it came in larger sizes than the 5/8".
