The CROWN JEWEL Pen

Here is a new pen kit which Penn State Ind. sells now. I got this one two weeks ago from one of my suppliers to try out. Did this one with some vintage herring bone in gold and black.

I had two issues with the kit. One the tip end was a loose fit and had to epoxy tip end in place. Second was when I went to put the refill in it was too long. Actually the barrel was too short. And that's the way it came to me. So I don't know if I was just unlucky with this kit or what

I'm not big on the bling thing, but the rest of the pen I really like. Long body to show off the blank, and I like the styling of the clip and nose cone.

It looks like I am in the minority here, but I like the kit. I really like the blank. Together it looks like an impressive pen.

Keith, my wife was just saying she wants some of these pens. Can you tell me how big the "jewel" is, and if it could be replaced with a different color?
