Nice looking pen! Friendly suggestion: Bloodwood will be much easier to turn than burl. May want to consider doing it first.

If you are turning resins with a sharp skew, burl is about the same- so ignore suggestion if you wish.[:)]

Thanks fellas. I have a couple of burls under my belt now. NO skew, just a sharpe roughing gouge and a light touch with the sanpaper. The guys that rough and finish with a skew have my respect. The resins are attractive, but nothing matches natural wood IMO.
