Its spring in Florida, Everywhere else too for that matter, but its warm enough to need to prune the trees. I'm not sure the tree need to loose this branch but it seemed to be the right thing to do at the time. The wood was dried in the microwave. No fires and minimal smell. Smelled a lot like potato cooking. It is finished with CA.

Bill, great looking pens,but what else from someone named Bill,need to quit eyeballing the crepe myrtle's in the yard before i get in trouble.

Good looking pen... I picked up some Crepe Myrtle from a local cemetary in Texas... didn't have any of the markings yours has.. just a white blah wood... I like the grain pattern your shows... very very nice.
