Hi All,
I was bored today and decided to trip out my SIL. It took about 20 minutes to make sense I already had the shell prepped. And I only turned about 3/4" of the shell.
30-06 shell, bright copper nib, elk antler top with no finish.
Hope you get a kick out of it. Thanks for looking.

That is so cool. I'm going to show it a hunter buddy of mine. He's getting me some antler in exchange for a pen. But he wants the end of the bullet casing at the top of the pen. But that's a really cool design you got there.

Wrong end, Steve. We get a "butt" out of the antlers, the "Kick" comes from the rear.

Happy to help!!

Don't plan to right with it, pretty out of balance anyway. The BIL looked at it and laughed his ass off, the wife thought it was a waist of materials. The neighbor said, "that is cool as heck". And the SIL I did it for thought it was really cool. She's pretty easy to please.:)
I'd been looking at this piece of antler for ever thinking how wild it would be to do, then I picked up the closed end mandrel and the rest is history.:D:D
