He was generous enough to send me a box of assorted blanks, didn't have any notes on what they were exactly, so I'll leave it up to him to tell you what they are. I picked up these two shorts and wanted to use them, and the idea to get beck into the swing of segmenting came to mind. It's VERY simple amateur stuff, all I did was work in a padouak spacer to separate the two woods and help with saw marks that sanding didn't completely alleviate. I like both of the woods a lot, I suspect one is turkish walnut, the other I draw a total blank on. Maybe spalted maple burl? Either way, I'm not used to seeing stuff like this come out of my workshop. My wife says it REALLY looks good, at least!
