The first is stabilized aspen burl, the second is kingwood. C&C welcome. (And you can even comment on my picture quality, tried these with my Nexus 10 and adjusted contrast and size post pic.)

I promise I won't comment on your photos.. DOH I just did.... Nice looking pens. I really like that aspen burl and kingwood is always beautiful. Nice job on your pens.

Thanks. About 10 years ago a friend gave me a piece of aspen burl about three inches thick and two feet around. It sat there in my garage all these years. Had a few pieces stabilized and now I think I may have to stabilize the rest of it. I've turned three of these in it and they sold right away.
