In the midst of making 18 antler Sierras, I managed a couple of other pens. Both are made from Cocobolo I got from Bill Jacob(ilikewood). It is really outstanding stuff. Both have a CA finish.
First is a Platinum Baron rollerball.

Next is a Perfect Fit 0.7mm pencil.

Gerry, that was a big mistake. You should have checked with me before buying from Bill. I would have told you not to buy Cocobolo from Bill unless you have a lot of money; his Cocobolo is highly addictive! [:D]

Those are really sweet! The more I see of the Perfect Fit kits, the more I'm tempted to try them. Yours is a very nice example of that kit, and the closed-end Baron is really pretty. I like the hint of sapwood on the end. Nice job!

Jim, you're just trying to hog all of his Cocobolo.[:D]

The Baron blank started with a lot more sapwood and I was really getting worried that it would all turn away, but fortunately some remained.

You have not lost your touch, Gerry! Both are beautiful pens.

Jim, you need to try the Perfect Fit. It has the best mechanism of any kit using the Parker refill. The pencil is also a good mechanism.

Big thumbs up, Gerry!
