Couple from this weekend

Finally got the Piano Pen from Ken together. It's a nice kit but I'm not totally happy witn the finish, too much open grain still visible, I'll probably take it apart and work on the finish some more. Also I've got another and I've got to work on keeping the sanfing dust from the barrel from contaminating the Holly.

I also turned another Stars and Stripes this weekend and got a picture before it sold this time....lol

Are the colors funky on these pics, or is it just our screen?

The pics seem to have a slight sepia effect, but the pens look great. I just love the stars & stripes kit.

Mike, nice job on the pens, they look great. The S&S colors look fine. That is a great looking pen & kit.

On the piano pen, are you sanding the holly keyboard and keys, before you set them in with CA ?

Anthony, I glued and sealed the holly just like Ken suggested but still got staining from the Ebony. I guess when he said keep sanding to a minimum he really meant it...lol
