A Couple of Tru-Stone LeRois

A friend of my wife's sister is fighting a very aggressive form of Breast Cancer that has spread to her bones. Dr's in the US have sent her home for her final days. She has 2 small children and she called BS on that and is now going through alternative treatments in Mexico. To help pay for it we are helping w/ a benefit for her. I turned these 2 along w/ some other things to help raise some funds.

The pens are a LeRoi Clicker and a LeRoi Elegant both in Pink Asian Coral Tru-stone

Lesson learned as these are my first tru-stone, reverse paint. I can see some brass tones in spots.

Comments and critiques on the pens and photos would be appreciated, it's how we grow in the craft.

Almost peachy colored on the one....

Pretty cool coloring on both though! And well turned!!

Thanks Scott. Yes it is a bit peachy. I am thinking that is because the tube is showing through some but there was also an obvious difference in the two before turning. Next time I will be reverse painting white on these blanks.

Wow, two totaly different colors from the same blank. Very nice on both
