Here's a couple of slimlines created for an order. Finished in what I like to call my 'Impressionist Range' due to the use of oil paints on the tubes. Comments welcomed...

Very very impressive and pretty unique too!!! :good::good::good:I can't think how you applied the paint but the first one looks like it was actually rotating slowly when you applied the paint. I don't have a clue how you did the second one.

Did you put a base coat on the tubes first?

Edit in; On second looks, the second one would look absolutely amazing if the tube was painted black and then those cool colours were on top.

Slim line, who would'a thunk?
Nice job veeerrrry creative, the cool thing is that their not over done, now if I could get that look out of a spray can than maybe I could take a run at that look but I'm still looking for the checkered paint that they used in Buggs Bunnie's house!
Excellent art work, both color and cut

I'm usually not fond of the "fattened" slimlines, but those both look pretty good with those blanks. I also like the way you straightened the sides of the two halves on the first one.

that looks like a fun little project. I may get some kids from the church to do a few of those and make pens for them. I think they would enjoy getting to keep their artwork. What kind of paint did you use? I have some acrylics, reckon they would work?

Really great work! I cast a set of tubes my 7 year old son did a couple months back and these can be very unique and rewarding. Great work
