Here are two of my recent kitless efforts. The first is fountain pen done using the 14 mm triple start with a #6 Bock nib and feed. This was my 4th kitless pen, and first with the 14mm. I have been using it as my daily writer, and I really love it.

I finished the second kitless pen this weekend. It is a click pen using the click mechanism that Richard Greenwald sells. I really like the way this mechanism works. I used ebonite and acrylic for this pen.

I think I should have used a plain white background for the photo instead of the marble slab. All comments welcome.

Beautiful work on both! Love the metal work on the clicker.

You are making me wish I got in on the 14mm triple group buy.

Thanks for all the comments. I really enjoy doing the kitless pens. I wish I could find more time to get in the shop, but I have just been way to busy lately.

I have to say that I cannot lay claim to any real metalwork on this pen. All I did was a modification of a finial cap. The finial cap and clip are a paired combo that are meant to be secured by a screw inside the barrel of a pen. I reworked the finial cap for the click mechanism. I am really happy with how it turned out since you really can't even tell that the click mechanism unscrews. The photos show an unmodified finial cap along with the modified part for the pen.

I would love to be able to do that kind of metalwork from scratch--I have to say that I am really jealous of all the recent metal lathe purchase posts. One of these days I hope to make that move as well.
