A couple of pens for blanks I cast

I don't post much but just wanted to show a couple of my castings. These are Alumilite resin and the finish is CA/BLO. Sorry about the poor photos. I am working on that.

Nice looking pens. The casts look like wood and alumilite - pretty combination.

Love it. Is that the crystal clear? What colors did you use? Acrylic, pigments, powders? Brand type?

Thanks I appreciate the positive comments. It is Crystal Clear with PerlEx pigments, Cholla wood with pressure pot. Wish my photos were better. It really does not do them justice. They kind of remind me of a desert islands.

I have not had great success painting tubes on these pens. I have found that I will get glue bubbles that show up sometimes. I paint the inside of the blank with black model paint. For me it works much better. I have found in my castings that no matter how much pigment you mix in the blanks can still be somewhat translucent. Glue bubbles drive me crazy so I just started painting the blank. I have even painted the blank and tube both.
