I've been so busy, I haven't had a chance to post any pictures for a while and just finished two that have interesting back stories.
The first one was for the widow of Stanford Newman, the patriach of the Newman Cigar Company here in Tampa. Her son wanted a pen for her. Diamond Crown Maximus was a special cigar blend created by her late husband and she has a diamond brooch (sp) of the label she wears, so the pen was to match that. It is a decal of the label on a faux ivory blank from EB.
The second is a birthday present for Jose 'Pepin' Garcia in Miami. One of his relatives ordered it for him. It is his luxury cigar "My Father's Cigar" label.
Stanford Newman and Pepin Garcia are both regarded as members of the top 10 most influential people in the cigar business in the United States. I have made pens (a few) for Newman before, but never for Garcia & Garcia. Hope this leads to more sales!
